Dynamometers and automotive test stands are used extensively to
load test vehicle engines and drivetrain components. Chassis dynamometers
are also used for vehicle emissions testing. Replace wasteful water
brakes and eddy current devices with regenerative drives to capture
energy and return it to the grid.
“LOAD” is created by providing a precise torque reference
to the drives on each powered vehicle axle. Vehicle engine power
is converted to electrical energy and absorbed by the power distribution
system. Load profile recipes can be created for each specific vehicle
type under test
