The 631 Drive is
no longer provided for new applications, but has been superceded by
the 638 series.
Advantages of migrating
to the 638 include:
STO input as standard
- not available on the 631
RoHS compliance
Independent input for +24Vdc supply
Can be installed on a common DC link
More fieldbus options : Profibus-DP, DeviceNet, Interbus, CANopen
For
existing 631 users, with minimal work, existing 631 configurations
(Bias and parameters) can be transfered to 638 and used on the new
drive.
